Braillyn was brought up surrounded by goofy bluegrass jams in the living room and dance parties to the Beatles. She quickly fell in love with music and dance when she became a ballerina and guitar player around the age of 4. She has since never stopped exploring the world of dance and music in many different styles and genres. Braillyn has gone on to earn an Associates in Music Production and Technology from Lane Community College. She is currently working on her Bachelors in Professional Music at Berklee College of Music.
Throughout Braillyn's musical career, she has excelled in guitar playing and singing. She has also dabbled in various instruments, including piano, ukulele, and flute. She grew up exploring many different genres, such as Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Pop, and Alternative. After being a mostly self taught musician and years of living room shows, open mics, and street busking; Braillyn began songwriting, choreographing, and performing her original art. And after some experience as a recording artist, she enrolled at Lane Community College in Eugene, OR, where she studied Audio Engineering and Music Production. She also took various other music and dance courses, including Chamber Choir, Jazz Combos, Music Theory, Contemporary, and Ballet. She also explored the world of jazz theory with her guitar and voice teachers. Braillyn took every opportunity she could to perform in and choreograph for dance and music concerts at her school and local festivals such as Oregon Country Fair. She was accepted into a collaborative project directed by Melecio Estrella and Ben Juodvalkis and invited to participate in Collisions Project directed by Bryaunna Kostelnik. After graduating from Lane Community College with an Associate in Music Technology and Production in 2021, she worked as a freelance recording and mixing engineer at Sprout City Studios. Since being accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, in 2022, she has been studying Professional Music, focusing on Acoustics and Songwriting. Throughout her academic music career, she has received multiple talent-based scholarships from Lane Community College and Berklee College of Music. She has continued to perform any chance she gets and has been experimenting with Live Looping, Live Effects, Sequencing with MIDI Devices, and Music Visuals in her original sets. She is currently finishing an album of Alternative Folk original songs that Braillyn has written over the past years. Braillyn aspires to continue writing and producing music for herself and other artists, exploring different genres and music technology and collaborating with various artists.
